These include:<br/><br/>Competitive salary starting from $4,337 – $6,413/month for new recruits who join the Regular Force under the Direct Entry plan<br/><br/>New pay increases: earn more from the start<br/><br/>Signing Bonus paid in installments at key service milestones<br/><br/>Training opportunities<br/><br/>Vacation, parental, and other types of paid leave<br/><br/>Health, dental, and vision coverage<br/><br/>Counseling, and relocation support services<br/><br/>Pension plan<br/><br/>Stimulating workplace that promotes respect, belonging, and work-life balance<br/><br/>Overview<br/><br/>As a member of the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery, the primary responsibilities of Gunners are to:<br/><br/>Operate and maintain howitzers<br/><br/>Operate and maintain future Ground Based Air Defense Systems<br/><br/>Operate and maintain surveillance and target acquisition systems, to include radars, acoustic systems, and uncrewed aerial systems<br/><br/>Operate and maintain a variety of vehicles<br/><br/>Operate technically advanced command-post computers, laser range-finders and fire control computers<br/><br/>You will find a comprehensive list of the primary duties on the forces.ca website.<br/><br/>This position is similar to the following:<br/><br/>Surveyor<br/><br/>Computer Network Operator<br/><br/>Prison/Security Guard<br/><br/>Heavy Equipment Operator<br/><br/>Drone Operator<br/><br/>Demolition<br/><br/>To be eligible to apply to the CAF, you must:<br/><br/>Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Canada;<br/><br/>Be at least 18 years old (17 years old with parental consent), except:<br/><br/>For the Paid Education programs, you may be 16 years old (with parental consent);<br/><br/>For the Primary Reserve, you may be 16 years old (with parental consent) and must be enrolled as a full-time student;<br/><br/>Have completed at least Grade 10 or Secondary IV in Québec (some jobs need higher levels of education).<br/><br/>Required Education<br/><br/>The minimum required education to apply for this occupation is the completion of the provincial requirements for Grade 10 or Secondary IV in Quebec.<br/><br/>Foreign education may be accepted.<br/><br/>Direct Entry Plan<br/><br/>No previous work experience or career related skills are required.
