  • Overnight Shift: Monday–Friday | 11:30 PM–7:00 AM

Position Overview

We are looking for a Feeder Machine Operator I to join our manufacturing team in Milton. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating fabrication machinery, particularly Press Brake, shearing, or punching machines.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment who is comfortable reading basic drawings, taking measurements, and safely operating production equipment.

Key Requirements

  • 2–3 years of CNC Sheet Metal / Press Brake setup and operating experience is preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of fabrication experience operating at least one of the following:
  • Press Brake / Bending Machines
  • Shearing Machines
  • Punching Machines
  • Hands-on experience with machine setup and operation is required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Ability to read and understand basic drawings, sketches, dimensions, and layouts.
  • Strong measurement and basic mathematical skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
  • Must reside within 80 km of Milton, ON.
  • Strong communication, organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to safely manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and safely operate fabrication equipment, including shearing, punching, and bending/Press Brake machines.
  • Complete pre-start safety checks on machines and supporting equipment.
  • Ensure machine guards, interlocks, light curtains, and other safety features are functioning properly.
  • Read and work from drawings, sketches, manufacturing information, and written or verbal instructions.
  • Determine dimensions and the appropriate sequence of operations for fabrication.
  • Feed materials through machines and monitor operations to prevent jams, blockages, or breakage.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance as required.
  • Operate Dynamic Machine Management (DMM) software.
  • Use drawing management software such as Enovia/Vault to access and print fabrication drawings.
  • Organize completed production orders using appropriate bins, tags, pallets, and routing procedures.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and according to production requirements.
  • Perform other production and fabrication duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong CNC Sheet Metal / Press Brake experience.
