We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in the non-profit sector in Ottawa, Ontario, for an Accounts Payable Specialist. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be performing key accounting functions, managing high volume payables, and ensuring all AP-related duties are accomplished proficiently. Responsibilities:- Accurately process high volume payables to ensure streamlined financial operations- Conduct account coding for precise financial tracking- Use accounting software systems and enterprise resource planning tools to manage accounts payable- Pay invoices in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to financial guidelines- Utilize systems like ADP – Financial Services and Concur for efficient financial operations- Perform accrual accounting tasks to maintain accurate financial records- Conduct auditing activities to ensure compliance with financial regulations- Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions for seamless financial operations- Ensure all AP related duties are completed accurately and on schedule.Reference # 05030-0013207859- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable or similar role- Proficiency in Account Coding and understanding of its applications- Proven experience with Accounting Software Systems- Knowledge of ADP – Financial Services is required- Familiarity with Concur and its functionalities- Experience with ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning is a must- Ability to perform Accounting Functions with accuracy and efficiency- Extensive knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP)- Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles- Experience in Auditing and ability to identify discrepancies- Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and processing.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
