Our client, the lead and lifecycle offshore energy regulator, is seeking an Advisor Offshore Energy to provide engineering expertise within a team of technical advisors responsible for reviewing and recommending approval of offshore energy projects and activity authorization applications related to offshore energy.<br/><br/>The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring the execution of approved work activities (with a focus on design, fabrication, construction, installation, commissioning and production) for regulatory compliance, and to assure that they are conducted in a safe manner with due regard for environmental protection and effective resource management.<br/><br/>Key reasons to explore this opportunity:

Offshore wind experience.
Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent.
Professional Engineer license required.
Structural, mechanical and/or electrical engineering with a focus on offshore wind or other renewable energy technologies.
Project management of offshore wind or other large scale offshore energy developments including planning, design, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance and decommissioning.
Technical standards for the design, operation and maintenance of renewable energy generation and transmission infrastructure.
Hazard and risk identification and management for large scale infrastructure developments with a focus on infrastructure integrity and safety.
Regulatory approaches to the management of integrity and safety in the offshore energy sector.
Ability to collaborate, work effectively within a team of professional and technical personnel, and engage with external stakeholders to resolve complex problems.
