Description

Adecco is currently recruiting for an Aircraft Mechanic for a 12-month contract opportunity with our client in Ottawa, ON. The candidate must hold or be eligible for a secret level security clearance. This opportunity is 4 days per week on-site (Monday to Thursday).
The Aircraft Mechanic will have the following responsibilities:
– Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
– Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
– Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
– Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
– Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
– Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction.

The Aircraft Mechanic must meet the following mandatory requirements:
– 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and reporting
– 4 or more years of aircraft maintenance experience required, preferred on CH47 platform.
– Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
– Must be legally able to work in Canada
– Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment
– Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
– Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance
– Have successfully completed a formal, CH147 type training course related to their aviation specialty taught by an acceptable training organization
