Job Title: Quality Control Analyst

Contract: 5 Months

Location: Toronto of Vaughan– Onsite

Pay Rate: $37/hour (T4)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Quality Control Analyst to join our team on a 5-month contract. The successful candidate will perform quality checks on money laundering investigations, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support the organization’s AML and ATF programs.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in FINTRAC guidelines
  • Strong ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in AML or financial crime-related roles
  • In-depth knowledge of FINTRAC guidelines, PCMLTFA/R, and FATF recommendations
  • CAMS certification (asset)
  • CFCS certification (asset)
  • Experience with Refinitiv, LexisNexis, Dow Jones, and Actimize technology solutions (asset)
  • Experience in quality control of Suspicious Transaction Reports and other regulatory reports (asset)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality checks on a broad range of money laundering investigations
  • Evaluate ML/TF risk by reviewing cases and alerts as part of AML and ATF program controls
  • Stay updated on emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements
  • Assess potentially suspicious account activity and document recommendations regarding account retention and/or regulatory reporting obligations
  • Provide trend analysis of AML/ATF findings and gaps to management
  • Maintain a strong culture of risk management and control through effective processes
  • Apply judgment to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues
  • Assist in developing and maintaining written policies, procedures, and frameworks to minimize compliance breaches
  • Prioritize and manage workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in quality control and provide guidance to team members
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively within a team environment
