About the Opportunity

  • Perform full-cycle accounts payable for cheques, Wire and EFT payments
  •  Accurately process and review all accounts payable transactions in accordance with company payment terms and month end reporting deadlines
  • Prepare vendor and supplier payments in accordance with payment terms
  • Receive, verify, scan invoices/bills/employee expense reports, match invoices to POs, then enter invoices for approvals using software; follow-up on invoices for appropriate documentation and approvals based on company procurement policies
  • Review construction draw payments to ensure appropriate supporting documents are attached
  • Effectively communicate and liaise with vendors and other departments to resolve all A/P inquiries and discrepancies
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Manage internal expense approvals as per company approval guidelines and work with designated approvers to ensure timely cheque signing and online payment approvals
  • Maintain AP aging lists and provide feedback for aging over 60 days to the Accounting Manager
  • Initiate intercompany transactions and ensure funds are collected and recorded accordingly
  • Manage receipt of WSIB and statutory declarations for trade partners 
  • Maintain accounts payable historical records and vendor master records
  • Maintain filing and file management 
  • Serve as a back up to A/R team 
  • Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its business partners 
  • May perform other related duties as assigned

About You

  • 3-5 years of A/P experience and/or Associates Degree in Business
  • Strong organizational skills and punctual
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines
  • Work well as a team player
  • Work well under pressure
  • Flexibility, Positive attitude, & high-level of confidentiality
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects with an eye for accuracy
  • Patient and pay attention to details
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficiency; exposure to ERP software

Pay Range
$23 – $24 / hour
