We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The Electrician’s primary function is to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls based on technical drawings, schematics, government regulations, and other documented specifications in a manufacturing environment.
Position: Electrician (442A- INDUSTRIAL)
Location: Hamilton, ON
Shift & Pay:
- Shift: Monday – Friday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
- Pay Rate: $30 – $42 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities:
· Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
· Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, network and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
· Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
· Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, electrical motors, generators, alternators, storage batteries, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
· Modify, maintain, test, and document PLC programs at a basic level.
· Provide Engineering Department feedback on design improvements in the form of a written Engineering Change Request.
· Perform on-site installation, servicing and repair for commissioning or warranty work on customer finished products.
· Maintain and repair office and plant electrical equipment, including documentation of maintenance plan and schedule.
· Conduct cyclical inventory counts on electrical parts.
· Keep abreast and comply with related government regulations and relevant codes and practices.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Qualified Industrial Electrician, preferably with interprovincial trade certification (Red Seal).
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment.
· PLC Programming skills (basic level).
· Ability to travel within North America with a valid passport and driver’s license.
· Power & Energy / Oil & Gas experience in an electrical engineering environment is an advantage.
· Good control panel knowledge, conduit, and other cable management hardware skills.
· Scheduling, documenting, technical support to Engineers is an asset.
