We are seeking a detail-oriented Benefits and Payroll Specialist to join our pay and benefits team at our corporate office in Edmonton.

What You’ll Do:
- Administer health, dental, and savings plan benefits for all companies across The Driving Force Group of Companies encompassing both Canada and the USA.
- Administer and Provide guidance to employees on policies related to benefits and savings plans.
- Maintain benefit records, assist with special pay or benefit projects, and perform month-end tasks and account reconciliation.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll preparation, documentation, and reconciliation.
- Accurately apply payroll changes related to leave of absence, new hires, departures, and deductions, maintaining compliance with all internal policies and external regulations.
- Full cycle payroll management for salary compensated employees, including accurate and timely processing of pay, accounting entries, taxable benefits, premiums, and overtime record-keeping in alignment with best practices, pay policies and government regulations.
- Compile reports and summaries for payroll and HR, supporting department administrative needs.
- Troubleshoot pay discrepancies and provide support to employees on payroll, tax, benefits, and vacation inquiries.
- Stay updated on payroll legislation and ensure confidentiality of all payroll and HR information.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and handle confidential matters with diplomacy.
What You’ll Bring:
- 3+ years of benefits experience and/or Certified Benefits Professional
- 3+ years of payroll experience, with a solid understanding of provincial/territorial legislation and/or CPA Level 1 or equivalent.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
