Job Title: Business Analyst – Digital Engineering

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada/ Hybrid

Role Summary

Business Analyst – Digital Engineering to support the strategy, design, and delivery of high-quality digital products. The Business Analyst will act as a key facilitator between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that business needs are clearly understood, well-documented, and translated into effective digital solutions.

This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on analysis, with a strong focus on Agile delivery, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous process improvement.

Your Mission

Business Analysts bridge the gap between business and technology by researching and understanding business domains, eliciting and documenting requirements, defining and validating solutions, and supporting successful implementation. Business Analysts operate at both strategic and detailed levels to deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to Strategy and Delivery

  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with business and technical stakeholders
  • Facilitate discovery workshops, conduct research, and ask insightful questions to understand initiative goals
  • Analyze and document existing business processes, rules, and customer experiences
  • Identify, prioritize, and present pain points and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with data analysts to perform quantitative analysis supporting business decisions
  • Participate in defining key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Work closely with UX Designers, Solution Architects, and Product Owners to define future-state solutions
  • Document future-state process flows aligned with business needs
  • Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional requirements
  • Define use cases, business rules, data migration rules, and acceptance criteria
  • Prepare, coordinate, and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Ensure business context, requirements, solutions, and impacts are clearly understood by all stakeholders

Contribute to the Business Analysis Practice

  • Apply best practices in business analysis methodologies and process mapping
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the BA practice
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure consistency across products, tools, and processes
  • Lead and participate in knowledge-sharing activities
  • Promote Agile values and act as a change agent
  • Stay informed of industry trends and bring innovative ideas to the team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Analysis or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of business process redesign and continuous improvement techniques
  • Proven expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and process mapping
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, listening, and decision-making skills
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Proficiency with process mapping tools such as Lucidchart or Visio
  • Experience with product development tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Fluency in English and French (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
  • Experience in aviation training or aviation-related industries is considered an asset
