Data Business Analyst – Senior Consultant

Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Business Analyst/ Data Engineer with strong experience in regulatory reporting, Guidewire, and data validation to support claims and reporting initiatives. This role will focus on gathering regulatory reporting requirements, validating data outputs, and developing reports using Guidewire tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document regulatory reporting requirements
- Translate business and regulatory needs into clear functional specifications
- Test generated reports and data views against documented requirements
- Create and maintain reports using Guidewire Data Studio and Guidewire Explore
- Perform SQL-based data validation and report testing
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and compliance partners to ensure accuracy and completeness of reporting solutions
- Support ongoing enhancements and issue resolution related to claims reporting
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst or Guidewire Analyst
- Strong background in regulatory reporting within insurance or financial services
- Hands-on experience with:
- Guidewire Data Studio
- Guidewire Explore
- SQL (for data analysis and report testing)
- Experience working with Claims data and claims reporting processes
- Strong documentation and requirements-gathering skills
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Additional Guidewire platform experience (beyond reporting)
- Bilingualism (French/ English)
- Experience with other reporting or BI tools
- Knowledge of insurance regulatory frameworks
- Exposure to data warehousing or data integration concepts
