Mechanical Cleanroom & Assembly Technician, Aerospace

Positions and Shifts
Day Shift:
- Monday to Friday
Compensation: $32-37/ hour based on related experience
Benefits: extended benefits 100% covered
Responsibilities
- Clean, polish, inspect, and assemble high-precision mechanical, optical, and electrical components within a cleanroom environment
- Set up, adjust, and operate hand tools, portable power tools, and assembly fixtures in accordance with engineering drawings and process documentation
- Adhere strictly to internal procedures, customer requirements, and manufacturer assembly standards
- Retrieve, verify, and manage hardware and components needed to complete assigned work orders
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to confirm compliance with tolerance and quality specifications
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant cleanroom by following housekeeping standards and safe work practices
- Use all tools and equipment in accordance with established safety guidelines
- Safely lift materials weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Communicate clearly and follow both written and verbal instructions
Experience & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; college or technical training preferred
- Minimum 4-5+ years’ experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field
- Previous experience working in a cleanroom or laboratory environment preferred
- Ability to understand, learn, and follow detailed instructions and engineering documentation
- Previous aerospace or defence or medical devices or electronic micro-components manufacturing experience
- Previous jobbing shop experience preferred
- Experience as a quality control technician or quality control engineer is an asset
