Job Title:

Intermediate Communications Consultant

Location:

Ottawa, Ontario

The Client:

Valued Government of Canada client in the Defense space.

Responsibilities

  • Experience developing communications content, including web and social media
  • Experience working with or for military families
  • Knowledge of military family issues and challenges
  • Developing and implementing communication strategies and plans, writing articles for web and/or print publication, and producing social media content.
  • Developing and implementing creative communication and information products using a variety of tools, techniques, and media
  • Preparing and staffing briefs, briefing notes, correspondence, files and presentations for senior leadership
  • Experience in database management, including regular data entry, validation, and verification to ensure databases reflect the most current information.
  • Experience in events planning, including agenda development, logistical coordination and venue requirements

What you must bring to this role:

  • Must have 5+ years experience.
  • Be fully bilingual (English/French)
  • Must have a degree, diploma in a relevant field (eg. Communications, Jounalism, Public Relations, Marketing)
  • Preference will be given to individuals that have additional relevant certification
  • Must hold a valid Government of Canada SECRET Clearance
