Compliance OfficerLocation: Toronto (Hybrid – In-office Tuesday Wednesday Thursday)Experience Required: 2+ years in a relevant compliance, risk management, or audit roleAbout the Role: Our client, a large real estate organization, is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to support the Vice President, Compliance and help drive their enterprise compliance program forward. This position plays a key role in ensuring the organization’s adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:Assist with the ongoing development and execution of the enterprise compliance programStay informed of evolving regulatory requirements and assess impact on business practicesCommunicate regulatory developments and policy changes to stakeholders and employeesProvide compliance guidance to internal teams and advise on applicable laws and regulationsManage policy development, implementation, and lifecycle documentationAdminister annual compliance training and employee certifications across the organizationSupport the design and execution of corrective action plans for identified compliance gapsLead investigations into potential compliance breaches and prepare findings documentationTrack and follow up on compliance issues, events, and regulatory deadlinesMaintain regulatory calendars and ensure timely report submissionsSupport audits, risk assessments, and regulatory examinationsBuild collaborative relationships across the business to foster a strong culture of complianceContribute to ad hoc compliance initiatives as requiredQualifications:Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in compliance, audit, or risk management (4+ years preferred)Knowledge of regulatory environments; experience with the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) is a strong assetDemonstrated ability to interpret legislation, policies, and internal controlsHigh level of integrity and ability to handle confidential informationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organizationStrong analytical, judgment, and problem-solving abilitiesOrganized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
