Construction Project Manager

 

Job Summary:

Join our team at Box Container Group, a leading container modification company specializing in customized containers for the engineering, construction, commercial, and retail sectors. We are seeking a dedicated Construction Project Manager to help oversee and manage our construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

 

Duties:

– Assist the President in coordinating and overseeing all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, quality control, reporting and implementation.

– Key experience required utilizing Procore software to effectively manage project documentation, budgets, reports and timelines.

– Help create, review, and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure project specifications are met in conjunction with on staff architectural and engineering technicians.

– Oversee the quality control aspects of all construction in conjunction with construction manager.

– Monitor project progress, resolve any arising issues, and ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and internal quality standards.

– Implement strategies to optimize project timelines and resource efficiency.

– Demonstrate familiarity with accurate cost estimation and bidding processes, in conjunction with purchasing manager.

 

Skills:

– Experience in project oversight.

– Knowledge of efficient document management, reporting and collaboration.

– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure project success.

– Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and prioritize tasks accordingly.

 

Qualifications & Professional Experience:

– Degree /Diploma in Construction Project Management or Civil Structural Engineering.

– 3-5 years of verifiable experience with a Canadian or US construction company and/or general contractor.

– Experience with Modular Construction or Container Modification considered an asset.
