Mier Recruitment is hiring!Job Title: Customer Service Advisor (Automotive Manufacturing) Location: York Region, ON OnsiteLength of Assignment: PermanentSalary: $60,000-$65,000/yearOur client in York Region, ON is actively looking for a Customer Service Advisor (Tier 1 Automotive) to join their team.Job Responsibilities: Responsible for all customer-service related duties as outlined in BOS Procedures (e.g. TS-9A), for customer(s) to which they are assignedPulls in EDI customer releases and posts to the CMI systemEnters any manual releases as applicableChecks/confirms demand load accuracy for their customer before MRP runIssues shipping work-sheets to Shipping Department in advanceLiaison with customer deck personnel, freight carriers, and/or plants directly either verbally or in writingResponsible for all transportation, logistics and premium freight for customer baseDevelop customer relationship and provide Best-in-Class serviceAnswering of customer inventory system queries in a timely manner (if applicable) or providing backup to do this (requires complete familiarity with Ford DDL, Chrysler SMART, Honda systems)Maintain 100% on time delivery to customers and providing disputes when necessaryLiaise with quality engineers, production and quality representatives to address quality concerns and communicate next steps. Coordinate Engineering changes from customer.Review customer charge-backs and recommend disputes when appropriateCoordinates Customer Finished Good returnable shipping container returns from the applicable customer, in a timely mannerBacks up other Customer Service (different customer account) positionsProvides on-call Customer Service support during non-normal business hours as requiredUtilizes effective Housekeeping practicesMaintains responsibility for departmental Continual Improvement at all times, both in general and specifically related to individual dutiesAttends training based on the Internal Training MatrixAdheres to all safety rules and regulationsFollows all applicable BOS proceduresAny other reasonable request by managementQualifications: Grade 12 education or equivalentMinimum 3 years experience in an automotive environmentExcellent English communication skills (both written and verbal)Good general math skillsComputer literacy in business applicationsAbility to work under pressureFamiliarity with automotive Tier 1 and Tier 2 customer shipping proceduresWell organized and highly efficient working in a multi-tasking dynamic environmentFamiliarity with CMI softwareKnowledge of Ford DDL / SDS / SIMS systems and related proceduresKnowledge of Chrysler SMART / DRIVE systems and related proceduresKnowledge of Nissan Portal and related proceduresKnowledge of Honda portal
