Description
Design, lead, and execute a sales strategy to grow annual sales revenue / goals and deliver on monthly KPIs.
Manage and build out the sales team (inbound and outbound) to deliver monthly and annual sales targets.
Collaborate with business unit leads to manage the end-to-end sales funnel from target setting to client delivery.
Prepare monthly sales targets and weekly sales summaries speaking to successes and failures, while also highlighting company opportunities.
Build and maintain a client base with a focus on outbound sales, new accounts and third-party partnerships.
Leverage industry relationships to identify unique prospecting opportunities.
Understand how to cross-sell MRG as a full agency solution for prospective corporate clients and brands while offering unique solutions that create positive shareable experiences.
Liaise between clients / business operators and leverage existing contacts to secure new business.
Maintain client relationships via CRMand ensure all inquiries are handled in a timely fashion.
Host networking events to showcase and grow the profile and MRG brand.
Participate in trade shows, conventions, and promotional events to promote the MRG brand as a destination for unique positive, shareable experiences.
Champion smooth event executionby working closely with operation managers and in-venue teams.
Provide tools to colleagues to promote group event bookings and upsell in house.
Suggest changes to content collateral in collaboration with the Creative, Design and Marketing teams.
Develop customized pricing solutions for group events (venue rentals, menus, and amenities).
Create and process proposals and sales contracts.
Effectively communicate client expectations and vision to operations and event managers resulting in flawless execution.
Coordinate and manage all billing activities.
Research market trends and maintain market awareness to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive sales strategies.
Guide, mentor, and coach sales teams to foster learning and career growth.
Position Requirements :
Four years of experience leading a sales team (hospitality and / or events industry an asset).
A ‘hunter’ mentality with the drive to achieve results in a goal-oriented environment.
The ability to identify opportunities and map out a strategy in order to achieve success.
Experience selling and designing large scale events in a hospitality setting.
A strong understanding of venue operations, food and beverage, and event planning.
Superior relationship building skills.
A passion for exceeding customer expectations and providing positive shareable experiences.
Strong business acumen and attention to detail.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with colleagues and service providers.
Proven track record for making significant contributions to a growing business.
Ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving environment and adjust to changing priorities.
Proficient with data and systems including CRM, Square, TripleSeat, and G-Suite.
