Description

This senior operations leadership role is ideally suited for a professional with a background in construction or a closely related project-driven environment who is ready to take the next step and be developed into a future General Manager. You bring the ability to think broadly, simplify complexity, and lead teams through execution, while maintaining a strong presence in the day-to-day business.

  • Lead daily operational activities to maximize productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Own operational and financial results, including P&L accountability, and present performance updates to senior leadership.
  • Set and communicate clear priorities for operational teams aligned with business objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Attract, develop, and retain talent; identify future leaders and make hiring decisions that support long-term growth.
  • Drive strong employee engagement through regular communication, leadership visibility, and team development.
  • Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure projects and services are delivered safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline; P.Eng. designation is preferred. An MBA is considered a strong asset.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience leading operations or managing complex construction or industrial projects with financial and commercial responsibility.
  • Experience in construction, infrastructure, industrial services, or a similar operationally intensive environment is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success improving processes, systems, and workflows to deliver practical business results.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen with the ability to manage competing priorities, timelines, and resources.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, people-centered leadership style.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with employees, customers, and external partners.
  • Track record of identifying and developing high-potential talent and future leaders.
