Hello Nori is seeking a Director of Operations to lead the financial, systems, process, and supply chain side of our growing multi-unit restaurant business. This role is responsible for building the operational infrastructure that supports scale, consistency, and profitability across our restaurants.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Finance & Performance

  • Own restaurant-level financial performance including labor, food cost, controllables, and margin analysis
  • Develop and manage labor models, forecasts, and performance dashboards
  • Partner with Finance to support budgeting, variance analysis, and reporting
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability across locations

Systems, Processes & SOPs

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable operational systems and standard operating procedures
  • Ensure consistency in processes across all locations
  • Own tools and platforms related to scheduling, reporting, payroll, and operations
  • Lead process improvements that reduce complexity and increase operational clarity

Supply Chain & Procurement

  • Oversee the supply chain and procurement function across all locations
  • Manage vendor relationships, pricing negotiations, and contracts
  • Ensure product availability, quality standards, and cost control
  • Partner with Culinary and Restaurant Operations to support menu changes and new openings
  • Mitigate supply risk and build scalable procurement processes to support growth

New Store Openings & Scaling

  • Support new restaurant openings from a system and process readiness perspective
  • Ensure operational playbooks, reporting, and controls are in place prior to launch
  • Support post-opening stabilization and performance tracking

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Restaurant Operations, Culinary, Finance, and People teams
  • Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making
  • Act as an operational advisor to the CEO and leadership team

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in multi-unit restaurant or hospitality operations
  • Strong background in operational finance, systems, and process design
  • Experience supporting growth and new unit openings
  • Highly analytical with strong business judgment
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling environment
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across teams
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
