The Role
As the Health & Safety Specialist, you will support multiple manufacturing sites by leading health and safety initiatives, conducting risk analyses, and driving continuous improvement in compliance and workplace safety. You will provide hands-on guidance to site leadership and employees, ensuring that proactive safety practices are embedded across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead risk assessments, audits, and inspections, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Develop, deliver, and monitor health and safety training programs for managers and employees at all levels.
- Manage incident investigations and corrective actions to prevent recurrence and promote a learning culture.
- Oversee PPE management, emergency response planning, and implementation of safety projects.
- Prepare reports and performance metrics, communicating key results to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing or an industrial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and its plant-level application.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk analysis, safety auditing, and incident management.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with rigor and attention to detail.
