As an Environmental Compliance Health and Safety Specialist you will support and promote overall legal compliance for environmental in NA and oversee Health & Safety requirements for our Canadian Location.
Some of your key responsibilities will be:
Strategic Planning Services for Environmental Compliance – NA/H&S TDC
- Conduct research on external environmental requirements for NA and trends, as well as internal gaps in all TIGER NA locations
Responsible for providing process training specific to:
- Onboarding health and safety training
- Emergency preparedness and response
- Lock out tag out policy and procedures
- Spill response, cleanup and containment
Ensure Compliance with Legal Requirements
Disability Management Services, in conjunction with People and Culture
- Ensure paperwork and reports for workplace accidents and injuries are initiated and completed by sites in timely manner
- Monitoring employee on return-to-work program
Training Services – Environmental Compliance and Health and Safety TDC
- Develop and conduct training or train the trainer modules, in conjunction wi People and Culture
- Evaluate learning and training needs
- Liaise with managers in follow up and identify gaps
Hazard Assessment Services
Conduct Audits
Liaise with External Legislative Bodies
Required Qualifications:
- Environmental, Health and Safety or related field (college/university)/or related experience
- 3+ years’ experience working as an Environmental, Health and Safety Leader
- Manufacturing environment
- English is a must
- Spanish is an asset
- SAP knowledge an asset
