Job Title: Field Operations Manager – Framing

About the Role

We are a framing contractor specializing in large-scale residential and multi-family wood-frame projects. We are seeking a Field Operations Manager – Framing to lead framing operations on major projects, with responsibility for day-to-day execution, quality control, safety compliance, and field reporting.

This role is intended for a senior field leader with independent site responsibility and strong technical framing knowledge.

Role Overview

The Field Operations Manager – Framing is typically site-based on a primary project due to the size and complexity of our builds. The role focuses on daily framing operations, coordination of crews and materials, and maintaining consistent standards for quality, safety, and documentation.

Occasional travel to other project sites may be required from time to time depending on project needs, though this is not a constant requirement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily framing operations on a large active construction site
  • Manage sequencing, manpower planning, and production tracking
  • Perform and document quality control inspections
  • Prepare daily and weekly site reports (production, manpower, QC, safety)
  • Manage health and safety compliance and required documentation
  • Coordinate material deliveries, offloading, staging, and site logistics
  • Maintain organized, safe, and efficient job sites
  • Communicate clearly with GC site teams and other trades

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7–10+ years of senior site leadership experience in residential or multi-family construction
  • Proven experience independently running a construction site or major scope
  • Strong knowledge of wood-frame construction systems and sequencing
  • Experience managing QC, safety compliance, production tracking, and reporting
  • Comfortable with drawings, documentation, and written reporting
  • Organized, steady, and solutions-focused leadership style
  • Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel occasionally as projects require
