Position:Demand PlannerReports To: Director, Supply Chain Location:Toronto, ONPosition Overview Stone Tile is searching for a Demand Planner to take the business to the next level. With over 160 employees and showrooms across major Canadian cities such as Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Calgary, we are seeking to improve our international reputation as a luxury design firm for the architects and designers’ community as well as discerning residential customers to redefine their spaces to transcend the ordinary.The Demand Planner is responsible for the forecasting of stock product demand, leveraging input from internal Sales, Product Development, Project Management, and Replenishment team. The Demand Planner role requires a team oriented, analytical, & interpretive individual with strong process, analytical and systems skills. This position involves in-depth analysis of sales results, identifying market trends as well as a solid understanding of customer demand, particularly project-based demand. The Demand Planner is also expected to have a solid understanding of forecasting processes and lead & facilitate the S&OP forecasting process, which entails working and communicating with multiple internal stakeholders.What will you do?- Work closely with Replenishment Analyst Team to create demand plan forecasts at various levels, including organizational, product category and SKU level; manages replenishment parameters (i.E. MIN MAX) for all SKUs- Works closely with Replenishment Analyst Team, Sales and other stakeholders to ensure forecast accuracy; works toward reducing bias in forecast- Initiate and develop strong relationships with cross-functional partners in order to build intimate knowledge of the business; seen as a trusted advisor.- Act as a change agent/ leader; leveraging relationships, functional skills and understanding process to support S&OP to facilitate change and drive sustainable process and business improvements- Lead project management team / Facilitate Demand Pre-Consensus reviews with operational leadership to deliver an unbiased and unconstrained view of the project demand and material flow to facilitate improved inventory management / turns- Responsible to ensure full preparation for both project management and replenishment for daily/ weekly meetings presentation of consolidated and accurate information along with well-articulated messaging to support and drive right discussion, decisions and actions; bring forward key decisions / actions to review meetings- Identify & frame risks, opportunities and any critical business decisions and escalate up through the S&OP process to ensure decision making.- Participate and actively contribute to all facets of the S&OP / Supply Chain processes & meetings, including weekly Supply Reviews, Go To Market reviews, and Roll-Out project reviews- Analysis of monthly sales results and inventory levels with recommendations on optimizing sales and inventory and impact to customer forecasts.- Maintain and leverage S&OP forecast plans, ensure S&OP forecasts are trickled down to product category and SKU level forecasts- Evaluate and measure forecast accuracy and out of stocks and bias results against objectives/plan; and leverage results with the organization in order to drive corrective action.- Lead / facilitate forecasting process changes & demand planning continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional teamsCore CompetenciesRequired- Undergraduate Degree in business, supply chain, engineering, finance (BA, B.Comm, B.Eng, or related disciplines)- 3-5+ years related experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain, and/or Finance- Experience in and/or exposure to S&OP processes and procedures, customer planning and/or supply planning- Proficient in MS Office tools-Advanced Excel Skills; forecasting or supply planning applications; knowledge/experience with ERP systems, MS Project, Power BI, Business Objects- Demonstrate ability to convey messages clearly, effectively and confidently across varying levels of hierarchy- Prioritize, multitask and plan; accordingly, deliver reports and analysis on time, coming up with contingency plans when necessary- Strong analytical skills and statistical knowledge.
