Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Genesys Developer with over 8 years of experience to support migration from a legacy Genesys Engage platform to AWS Cloud. This role requires a strong background in Genesys Engage, basic programming skills in .NET and Java, and expert-level proficiency in AWS. Experience in a consulting environment is preferred, and the role requires someone who is adaptable and solutions-oriented when navigating tight deadlines or complex challenges, with a strong emphasis on precision and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Migration and Development (40%)

  • Support the transition from on-prem Genesys Engage to AWS Cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Enhance and develop IVR flows, call routing, and system integrations using Genesys Engage.
  • Write and maintain scripts/applications in .NET and Java to support legacy functionalities.

Cloud Engineering and Configuration (30%)

  • Leverage advanced AWS services to design and implement scalable contact center solutions.
  • Ensure optimal configuration, testing, and deployment of solutions in AWS.
  • Collaborate on creating CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) where needed.

Client and Team Collaboration (15%)

  • Partner with internal and client stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical implementations.
  • Maintain polite yet direct communication, focusing on results and solution clarity.

Monitoring and Maintenance (10%)

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply patches and updates as necessary.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of the contact center ecosystem during and post-migration.

Documentation and Process Improvement (5%)

  • Document technical specifications, system architecture, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide feedback and input to optimize existing processes and tooling.

Qualifications:

Mandatory Skills:

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience, with 8+ years in Genesys Engage.
  • Hands-on experience with .NET and Java.
  • Expert-level AWS skills; ability to lead cloud migration efforts.
  • Proven experience in on-prem to cloud migration projects.
  • High emotional resilience and the ability to work under pressure with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – concise, clear, and respectful.
  • Availability to work EST business hours.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior consulting background is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with AWS tools like Lambda, CloudFormation, EC2, S3, and IAM.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Docker.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
