This position will lead our award-winning Do It Yourself (DIY) SaaS tax software and related products.Under the leadership of the Director, Product & Services, you will translate business strategy, customer needs and user requirements into product roadmaps, including detailed business requirements, to deliver exceptional customer value and meet our business goals. As a senior member of the team you will mentor other product teammates, provide executive presentations, and establish and improve your products. Your contributions will make a material impact to the thousands of H&R Associates and our millions of customers in Canada. If you are passionate, energetic, and excited about continuously improving products and services that will delight users, we are looking for you.In this position you will deliver exceptional value to our customers by collaborating with people in a variety of roles, including user experience designers, tax analysts, developers, quality assurance analysts and content writers.This position is based in Calgary and offers a hybrid work schedule, with 3 days per week in-office.Key Areas of Responsibility:Accountability for your product strategy and market growthEstablish and optimize go-to-market packaging and features for tax products and services to grow revenue, margin, and customersManage product financials and development budgetsChampion internal and external customer experience testingEstablish and review A/B testing and user feedbackPrioritize features and sequence development to ensure digital tax products and services are delivered on time, on budget, and are compliant with government regulationsDefine and manage user stories and business requirementsMaintain product backlog and prioritize based on business/user needParticipate in the daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives meetings as requiredLeveraging the expertise of tax experts, user experience designers, and content writers to manage the product lifecycleArticulating the value proposition and key internal and external messages with marketingDocument and maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape, emerging technology, and applicationsKey Qualifications:Business or Engineering Bachelor’s degree, an MBA would be a differentiator5+ years of product management experience, including experience leading medium to large sized initiatives that involve significant business and/or technology changeDemonstrated success bringing a new product to marketUnderstanding and application of AGILE user-centered design values, principles, and practicesInnovative and creative with the ability to identify and develop business opportunitiesDemonstrated record of establishing priorities and meeting deadlinesUnderstanding and reporting of financial resultsAbility to make quick, timely decisions based on dataAbility to be an effective leader in a fast‑paced pressure environmentDo you have a passion for driving business initiatives, along with the skills and qualifications required for this GREAT opportunity?
