Description
We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Health & Safety Specialist to support incident management and injured worker programs across our operations. This role is essential in ensuring timely WSIB claims handling, effective return‑to‑work coordination, strong client partnerships, and continuous improvement of our health and safety processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening our safety culture and driving overall operational success.
- Salary: $60,000–$65,000

Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to Health & Safety incidents and manage all intake, documentation, and follow‑up activities.
- Manage all aspects of injured worker cases with care, accountability, and consistent communication.
- Initiate and manage claims in our system, working collaboratively with our third‑party claims management provider and internal teams.
- Partner with client companies to design and implement modified work programs at their worksites.
- Support improvements in the recruiting process by introducing and implementing appropriate safety-related policies and process enhancements.
- Follow up with employees and coordinate their return to work with both client partners and internal teams.
- Prepare and maintain reports analyzing incidents, claims, trends, and strategies to support effective WSIB case management.
- Provide weekly reporting on incidents, trends, and key updates.
- Support branch teams with WSIB case management and maintain communication with injured employees.
- Remain open to supporting new initiatives and additional responsibilities as the role continues to evolve.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience handling claims or managing injured worker cases.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and implementing return‑to‑work programs.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to client worksites as required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage detailed follow‑ups and multiple active files simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with injured workers, clients, and internal teams.
- High level of organization, professionalism, and accountability.
