Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular workplace evaluations to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OHS regulations.
- Develop and implement EHS training programs to educate employees on best practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with leaders to investigate incidents and develop recommendations to prevent recurrences.
- Promote a positive safety culture and environmental stewardship across all levels of the organization.
- Conduct training sessions and presentations on health and safety matters.
- Coordinate return-to-work programs for injured employees.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of WorkSafeBC OHS Regulation and related standards.
- Valid Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Intermediate First Aid certification.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of manufacturing-related safety experience.
- Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management or Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance.
- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification or equivalent desired.
- High level of computer literacy and application skills in MS Office.
- Exceptional organizational skills, able to prioritize and detail-oriented.
- Able to multitask and work efficiently.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
