About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Coordinator to join our team. As an HSE Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular workplace evaluations to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OHS regulations.
  • Develop and implement EHS training programs to educate employees on best practices and procedures.
  • Collaborate with leaders to investigate incidents and develop recommendations to prevent recurrences.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and environmental stewardship across all levels of the organization.
  • Conduct training sessions and presentations on health and safety matters.
  • Coordinate return-to-work programs for injured employees.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of WorkSafeBC OHS Regulation and related standards.
  • Valid Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Intermediate First Aid certification.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of manufacturing-related safety experience.
  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management or Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance.
  • National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification or equivalent desired.
  • High level of computer literacy and application skills in MS Office.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, able to prioritize and detail-oriented.
  • Able to multitask and work efficiently.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
