Reporting to the Special Events Manager, the Special Events Supervisor will be responsible for executing National promotions and Special Events, ensuring the effective promotion of Maple Lodge Farms products during events. Health benefits and pension plan Weekly pay Supervises all Team Leaders and Team Members in their day-to-day activities including scheduling for all events. Year-round staff of 3-5 and seasonal staff of 20-30. With SET Manager, responsible for the training of all staff, from health & safety to equipment and product knowledge. Key contact person for venues and event organizers on behalf of Maple Lodge Farms and Zabiha Halal brands. Responsible to visit/inspect set-up at all major events. Assists the Manager with shop maintenance and housekeeping. Assist the Manager to ensure fleet and equipment is up to code and maintained. Oversee licensing, certifications, and training of drivers. First point of contact regarding event issues. Consolidates and provides insight regarding event effectiveness and attendance in the future. Makes recommendations on events to consider for the future. Works alongside Manager to deliver annual KPI targets regarding events attended, coupon distribution, samples distributed, etc. Policies, Processes & Procedures # Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of improved department specific processes, policies and procedures. Must have 2-3 years experience in the planning and execution of events and promotions; Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality an asset Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WHMIS an asset Computer literacy (MS Office). Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field preferred or work experience.
