About the Job

We are hiring a Human Resources Coordinator to step into an existing role our Human Resources team on the Mobilinx. This position reports to the Human Resources Director.

What You Will Be Doing?

  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR database and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Responsible for tracking and keeping up to date employee information, as well as notifying respective company of any changes.
  • Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
  • Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including bi-weekly and semi-monthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, tracking vacation/sick pay, importing expense reimbursements, inputting exceptions, hourly employee validations, and benefit changes.
  • Work on ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with employees and managers.
  • Maintain communication with the Human Resources departments from the respective JV Partners.
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee files, employee directories, and organizational charts.
  • Contributes to the development of policies.
  • Participate in and lead project initiatives related to employee engagement and retention programs.
  • Assist with the sourcing and coordination of Lunch and Learns, company events, and projects focusing on existing process improvement.
  • Provide support with labour relations matters for unionized staff which includes timesheet reconciliation activities.
  • Other duties as required.

What We Are Looking For?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Additional HR training or experience is a plus.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Knowledge of ESA, Human Rights Legislation, Labor Relations, OSHA, is required.
  • Knowledge of the Construction industry is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ethics.
  • Resourceful, problem-solving attitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Excel, HRIS systems.
  • Able to adapt quickly using new technical systems as needed.

Expected Compensation

Successful candidates chosen for this position can expect to earn between $60,000.00 CAD – 70,000 The exact salary you will earn within this range is dependant on the specific project to which you are assigned.
