Base Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 CAD annually
This range represents the expected base salary for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
About the Role
Mother Parkers, a well-established and respected organization in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a proactive and versatile HR Generalist to support its operations. This role is integral in ensuring compliance with policies and procedures while fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture.
The HR Generalist will provide broad-based support across key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and training—contributing to both the strategic and operational success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns
- Provide day-to-day coaching, policy guidance, and interpretation to line management (career development, performance management, disciplinary actions)
- Conduct investigation meetings and prepare related documentation
- Liaise between team members, leadership, and benefits providers regarding leaves of absence and return-to-work plans
- Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for hourly positions (sourcing, screening, interviews, testing, hiring events)
- Oversee agency relationships and ensure consistency with placement standards
- Partner with Payroll and Benefits to ensure accurate personnel administration
- Support site audits and corrective actions
- Deliver HR programs including rewards, recognition, and termination processes
- Provide reports, metrics, and decision-making support to leadership
- Support Environment, Health & Safety initiatives and training programs at all levels
- Demonstrate flexibility in work hours to support a multi-shift manufacturing environment, including morning, afternoon, and evening shifts as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in employee relations and recruitment (CHRP preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Employment Legislation and multi-location compliance
- Proven experience managing conflict, performance coaching, and conducting workplace investigations
- Ability and willingness to work flexibly and provide HR support across morning, afternoon, and evening shifts
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a customer-service mindset
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, sourcing tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
