Your new role
As Regional Corporate Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s legal operations across Ontario and other Canadian provinces. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will provide strategic legal advice on a wide range of matters including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, risk management, and employment law. You will also support cross-border transactions and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal alignment with business objectives. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility while maintaining a high level of engagement with regional and national teams.
What you’ll need to succeed
- A Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- 5+ years of legal experience, preferably with a mix of private practice and in-house counsel roles.
- Strong background in commercial law, insurance, construction, or disaster restoration
- is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Must be fully bilingual, fluent in both English and French
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
