Adecco is currently hiring a full-time detail-oriented and collaborative Indigenous Relations Engagement Coordinator to provide logistical, administrative, and documentation support to our client’s Indigenous Relations team in Calgary, AB. This role plays a critical part in the success of community engagement and consultation efforts by ensuring meetings and follow-up activities are executed efficiently, while maintaining thorough records and supporting compliance with regulatory requirements.
This is a remote (home-based) role; however, the candidate must be able to travel within Alberta and British Columbia as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides logistical support to Indigenous Relations (IR) Advisors engaging with Indigenous communities, including venue selection and bookings, travel arrangements, distribution of invitations, site visit coordination, provision of appropriate PPE, and obtaining necessary consents.
  • Attends engagement and consultation meetings, as needed, to support Advisors with the implementation of commercial agreements and regulatory/permitting discussions.
  • Supports follow-up activities stemming from engagement meetings, including the provision of requested information, fulfillment of commitments, and documentation for regulatory and permitting purposes.
  • Prepares for team meetings by organizing agendas, taking and distributing minutes, setting up and dismantling meeting room equipment, and coordinating catering services.
  • Develops and maintains databases, document structures, and record-keeping systems to support the Engagement team’s activities.
  • Assists with the preparation and distribution of materials for community engagements.
  • Supports the development of internal and external reports, correspondence, and event planning through information gathering and research.
  • Contributes to the creation of engagement and consultation-related presentations.
  • Coordinates the collection and organization of information to support Advisors and IR Leadership in responding to both formal and informal Information Requests.
  • Manages the processing, documentation, and tracking of capacity funding provided in support of consultation activities.
  • Ensures timely submission of engagement records to Borealis and prepares related reports as required.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Indigenous Studies, Environmental Studies, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in a coordination or administrative support role, ideally related to Indigenous engagement or regulatory affairs.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or in cross-cultural settings is an asset.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support engagement activities.
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
