Job Summary

The Inside Sales Specialist is a critical role responsible for managing sales and service operations, including quote and order entry for assigned product range(s). This individual will collaborate with outside sales staff, engineering, production, shipping, and accounting teams to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time. The role also includes generating customer reports, maintaining price lists, managing web leads, and supporting with projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, ensuring timely and effective communication regarding quotes, orders, and general information.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Develop quotes using both standard price lists or based on engineering cost-up approach for custom-engineered solutions.
  • Enter sales and service quotes, orders, and related data into the company ERP system.
  • Support with commission calculation in collaboration with finance.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions and close sales activities when required.
  • Work with multiple departments internally on customer inquiries.
  • Manage and maintain the order entry book.
  • Manage product returns, claims and services orders.
  • Address customer complaints and non-conformance reporting, entering NCRs into EHS for Quality Control.
  • Support outside sales managers on sales activities and key campaigns.
  • Export and analyze customer and financial reports to support sales strategies. Present such reports as required during internal staff meetings.
  • Create, maintain, and update customer profiles in CRM.
  • Create, maintain, and update price lists.
  • Other duties as required.
