Malabar is a rapidly growing Manufacturer and Distributor of food ingredients into the North American Food industry. We are searching for a well networked and experienced Sales Professional to build out the Bakery, & Dairy market space in Quebec and Eastern Canada.

The ideal candidate is a hunter, self-motivated, and detail-oriented team player who is committed to the success of our customers. You will focus on building and developing food manufacturing clients in the Bakery and Dairy space. 

  • Experience selling into industrial food processors (B2B) along with technical sales abilities when it comes to food ingredients is a MANDATORY QUALIFICATION.
  • You must live in the greater Montreal area, and hold a valid drivers license.
  • You must have room for home office space

 

Responsibilities

  • Operate as the primary point of contact for key account stakeholders
  • Develop a trusted advisory relationship with accounts, customer stakeholders and internal partners
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Stay abreast of the industry developments and their impact on the organization’s competitiveness and product offerings;
  • Host customer meetings, Innovation days, deliver high level presentations
  • Key account planning and management responsibilities
  • Develop clear and effective proposals/quotes for current and existing customer base;
  • Address all customer issues to ensure customer satisfaction. Escalate as required
  • Actively participate in trade shows, training seminars, and conventions.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with Marketing, Inventory, and Operations
  • Travel across Canada/US 25% of the time

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Food Industry
  • 2+ years in B2B sales experience in Food Industry
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude, talented listener, competitive performer and entrepreneurial in spirit
  • Valid Drivers License
