Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Learning & Development

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)

Duration: 12 months (Feb 23, 2026 – Feb 22, 2027)

Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager will lead medium to high-complexity Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives within a large financial services environment. This role is responsible for end-to-end project delivery of enterprise training solutions, working closely with HR, L&D Centers of Excellence, business partners, and external vendors to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of L&D and training initiatives
  • Deliver learning solutions across multiple formats (e.g., instructor-led training, virtual ILT, eLearning, webinars, self-directed learning paths, workshops)
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Develop and execute stakeholder engagement and communication strategies
  • Coordinate vendor selection, onboarding, and delivery where third-party solutions are required
  • Track and report on project status, milestones, and deliverables to stakeholders at varying levels
  • Partner with L&D and business teams to support delivery strategy, change management, launch communications, and sustainment planning
  • Ensure strong governance and adherence to project management best practices
  • Conduct retrospectives and apply lessons learned for continuous improvement
  • Apply Agile and hybrid delivery approaches where appropriate

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of project management experience
  • Mandatory experience within banking, financial services, or insurance
  • 5+ years leading Learning & Development / training / eLearning initiatives
  • Proven experience managing medium to high-complexity projects
  • Strong knowledge of Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies (Scrum experience required)
  • Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office Suite
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
