Legal Assistant – Commercial Lending
Victoria, BC | On-site
$85,000–$90,000 base salary (commensurate based on experience)
An established Victoria law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support a busy commercial lending practice representing major financial institution clients. This is a fully on-site role within a professional, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support commercial lending transactions for institutional lender clients
- Prepare and manage loan and security documentation
- Coordinate transaction closings and track conditions
- Liaise with lenders, lawyers, and third parties
- Manage multiple active files with accuracy and efficiency
Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting commercial lending for financial institutions (required)
- Strong organizational and document management skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle complex, deadline-driven work
- 10–15 years’ experience preferred; strong candidates considered at any experience level
