Position: Litigation Clerk

Tenure: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Mississauga, ON

Salary: $50,000 annually

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented Litigation Clerk to join a dynamic and growing legal team. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in supporting lawyers and clients through research, document preparation, and case management — helping clients make informed legal decisions with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and draft legal documents and instruments essential for various legal processes and transactions.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to analyze laws, regulations, precedents, and opinions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Confirm and coordinate appointments and client meetings.
  • Attend client meetings and assist in case preparation.
  • Collaborate with lawyers, legal assistants, and paralegals on case strategy and client matters.
  • Review, organize, and summarize legal documents and evidence.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 1–3 years of experience in civil litigation or a related legal field.
  • Proven ability to handle complex matters and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for effective client and team interactions.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe; experience with Teraview and Dye & Durham software is an asset.
