Manager, Ecommerce Merchandising & Product Onboarding

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR…

We are seeking a strategic, data-driven, and innovative Manager, Ecommerce Merchandising and

Product Onboarding to lead our site merchandising team and drive the transformation of our

product information infrastructure. This role will be responsible for managing site merchandisers

while building and optimizing our Product Information Management (PIM) and Product

Experience Management (PXM) systems. The successful candidate will be instrumental in

improving the efficiency of product onboarding, ensuring data accuracy, and enhancing the

online customer shopping experience.

WHAT YOU DO (among other things):

Team Leadership & Ecommerce Merchandising

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ecommerce site merchandisers, ensuring alignment

with business goals and best practices.

• Oversee online merchandising strategies for key product categories, ensuring optimal

presentation, discoverability, and alignment with brand positioning.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including buying, marketing, and IT, to drive

sales and enhance the customer journey.

• Ensure the website reflects accurate and compelling content, including product

descriptions, images, and pricing.

• Develop and implement A/B testing strategies to optimize product discoverability,

navigation, and conversion rates.

Product Information Management & Onboarding

• Spearhead the implementation and optimization of a new PIM/PXM system to improve

data governance, enrichment, and syndication.

• Establish best practices for product onboarding, ensuring efficient workflows and data

accuracy from vendors to website publication.

• Develop and enforce data hygiene standards, working to improve product attribution,

taxonomy, and categorization.

• Manage the integration of product data across internal systems, ensuring seamless

synchronization with Shopify and other platforms.

• Identify and recommend process improvements for product setup and maintenance,

enhancing operational efficiency and reducing errors.

Data Analysis & Insights

• Analyze merchandising performance, including conversion rates, product engagement,

and sales trends, to inform decision-making.

• Provide ongoing reports and insights on category performance, customer behavior, and

competitive trends.

• Collaborate with IT and analytics teams to refine data collection, reporting, and

visualization tools.

• Monitor product availability and inventory data to inform restocking strategies and

optimize assortment decisions.

Site Optimization & Customer Experience

• Conduct regular website audits to identify and resolve errors, inconsistencies, or

opportunities for improvement.

• Work with UX/UI teams to enhance site navigation, search functionality, and filtering

options to improve product discovery.

• Ensure a seamless omnichannel experience, aligning online and in-store product data and

promotions.

• Drive the execution of promotional campaigns and merchandising updates in

collaboration with marketing.

Cross Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement

• Serve as the primary liaison between ecommerce merchandising, IT, and marketing

teams to ensure smooth execution of merchandising strategies.

• Provide training and documentation for internal stakeholders on PIM best practices and

ecommerce merchandising principles.

• Research and implement new tools, automation solutions, and AI-driven capabilities to

enhance product onboarding and management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in ecommerce merchandising, product onboarding, or a related

role, with leadership responsibilities.

• Proven experience managing site merchandising teams and optimizing ecommerce

operations.

• Strong background in PIM/PXM implementation, data governance, and product

attribution management.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into Deep

understanding of ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify), PIM/PXM systems, and digital

merchandising strategies.

• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Google Analytics, Excel, and reporting

dashboards.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable

strategies.

• Experience with site optimization, A/B testing, and conversion rate improvement

techniques.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
