The Safety Management System (SMS) Manager maintains the SMS program and reporting system as well as related documentation. The SMS Manager reports to the Director of Quality Assurance and works closely with the Person Responsible for Maintenance (PRM), Chief Inspector, Health & Safety Manager and Continuous Improvement Manager.
Monitor, report, analyze trends in SMS program and make recommendations to senior management including tracking completion and effectiveness
Contribute to local and corporate management review of the SMS program
Deliver SMS and associated training for staff
Actively participate in Health & Safety program, collaborating with the H&S Manager and Committee as required
Valid TCCA License
Knowledge of investigation, root cause and trend analysis methods
Ability to use computer systems including MS Office, DOMO, and APRISe
Supervisory experience an asset
