Job Title: Mechanical Assembler I

Location: Airdrie, Canada

What You’ll Do

As a Mechanical Assembler I, you will play a key role in assembling and mounting mechanical components and sub-assemblies by following standard layouts, schematics, and customer drawing packages. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assembling and mounting mechanical and sub-assembly components to build complete structures.
  • Assembling products with standard options by interpreting customer drawings and schematics.
  • Assembling products with non-standard options under the guidance of a more experienced Mechanical Assembler.
  • Completing required documentation and checklists accurately.
  • Delivering completed sub-assemblies to the appropriate production areas.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Production Manager, this position focuses on:

  • Mounting basic mechanical components using standard layouts and options.
  • Performing sub-assembly tasks as needed.
  • Gaining and developing advanced mechanical skills under supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with basic wiring schematic symbols is an asset.
  • Previous mechanical assembly experience is preferred but not required.
