Baking Association of Canada (BAC) is a national not-for-profit trade association representing Canada’s commercial, retail, and in-store baking industry, with over $16 billion in value. BAC offers a range of services, including public policy and advocacy, membership services, and the Bakery Showcase trade show and conference. With members representing more than 80% of the nation’s production capacity, BAC is Canada’s largest baking industry trade association. BAC showcases a wide range of products, from breads and pastries to frozen goods. The Bakery Showcase Trade Show & Conference is the primary event for connecting and networking within the Canadian baking industry.
Role Description
This is a contract remote role for a Membership Development Ambassador. Responsibilities include engaging with potential members, managing membership inquiries, and providing exceptional member services. The role involves developing and executing strategies to increase membership numbers, maintaining accurate membership records, and representing BAC at industry events and trade shows. Regular communication with current and prospective members is essential to understand their needs and convey the value of BAC membership.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in membership development and retention
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of the baking industry is a plus
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
