Location: Northwest Territories | Work Scheme: Fly in-Fly out (1 week on / 1 week off) OR Relocation to Yellowknife
We’re seeking a Mine Hydrologist to lead water management planning and environmental stewardship at one of the world’s leading diamond mines. This is a unique opportunity to own the process from mid-life operations through mine closure in a dynamic Arctic environment. Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in water management (consulting or mining environment)
  • Degree in environmental science, engineering, hydrology, or hydrogeology (post-grad and professional designation are bonuses)
  • Proven ability to develop water balance and water quality models
  • Experience with regulatory bodies and environmental permitting (e.g., GNWT, ECC)
  • Skilled in data modeling tools (GoldSim, Power BI, MonitorPro) and MS Office
  • Comfortable working in remote environments and adapting to Arctic conditions

Role Overview

  • Lead Life-of-Mine and mid-range water management planning
  • Develop and maintain water balance and water quality models
  • Oversee surface hydrology monitoring programs and equipment calibration
  • Install and program pressure sensors and telemetry systems
  • Manage consultants for groundwater/surface water modeling
  • Compile and review environmental reports and regulatory submissions
