The NetSuite Systems Engineer (Operations Focus) is responsible for the hands-on administration, configuration, optimization, and support of the organization’s NetSuite ERP platform with emphasis on Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management, and Fulfillment. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams—including Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain—to ensure NetSuite operates as an efficient operational engine aligned with business needs.

The ideal candidate comes from a retail/ wholesale industry with focus on operations but will also possess foundational financial NetSuite knowledge to support cross-functional workflows and collaborate effectively with Finance teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform daily NetSuite system administration including role/permission maintenance, workflows, dashboards, and SuiteAnalytics.
  • Configure and optimize modules including Inventory, Procurement, Order Management, Manufacturing, WMS, QMS, and PLM integrations.
  • Build and maintain workflows, SuiteFlow automations, custom records, and forms.
  • Collaborate with Operations leaders to streamline Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Inventory, Warehouse, Freight, and QC workflows.
  • Improve forecasting, planning, and operational visibility using dashboards, alerts, and KPIs.
  • Support and troubleshoot integrations including WMS/3PL, PLM, QMS, EDI platforms, and eCommerce channels.
  • Provide secondary support for Finance-related NetSuite processes such as basic GL, vendor records, AP/AR visibility, and financial reporting dependencies as needed.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure operational changes do not negatively impact financial processes or month-end close.
  • Serve as primary support for NetSuite issues impacting Operations and Supply Chain.
  • Develop SOPs, training materials, and conduct in-person training for NetSuite operational workflows.
  • Manage release testing, data integrity validation, role-based security, and compliance with audit requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3–7 years of hands-on NetSuite administration or systems engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of Operations, Supply Chain, Inventory, and Wholesale/Retail workflows.
  • Foundational understanding of NetSuite Financials (GL impact, transaction flows, approvals, AP/AR interactions, period close support).
  • Proficiency in saved searches, SuiteAnalytics Workbooks, dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Experience configuring items, BOMs, POs, SOs, transfers, inventory adjustments, and fulfillment transactions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support both technical and non-technical business users.
  • Preferred: experience with SuiteScript, RESTlets, WMS/PLM/QMS/EDI integrations.
  • Preferred NetSuite certifications: SuiteFoundation, Administrator, ERP Consultant.
