Job Title: External Network Security Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced External Network Security Architect to design and govern secure network architectures that protect complex, business-critical environments. This role focuses on defining reusable security architecture building blocks, applying Zero Trust principles, and ensuring network security solutions effectively mitigate risk while enabling 24/7 business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain a network security architecture framework using reusable building blocks such as patterns, services, and capability models
• Translate complex business operations and risk scenarios into practical, technology-driven security solutions
• Design and govern security architectures that enable business scalability and resilience
• Apply structured and repeatable approaches to problem resolution in large, complex, 24/7 operational environments
• Architect and review external and internal network security controls aligned with Zero Trust principles
• Ensure secure network segmentation, access control, and traffic flow across enterprise environments
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and security engineering teams
• Provide architectural guidance during solution design, implementation, and security reviews

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

✅ Proven experience defining and organizing security architecture using reusable building blocks such as patterns, services, and capability models

✅ Demonstrated ability to assess security implications of complex business operations and map them to effective technology solutions for risk mitigation and business enablement

✅ Strong knowledge of processes, methodologies, tools, and techniques used to design and build large-scale IT systems

✅ Proven experience applying structured problem-solving approaches in complex organizations operating 24/7 environments

✅ Strong knowledge of network security technologies and architecture principles required to secure complex network environments (e.g., Zero Trust architectures)

✅ Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, routing, etc.)

✅ Strong expertise in network segmentation techniques and secure network design

Preferred Skills (Optional)

• Experience with firewalls, secure gateways, DDoS protection, and network security platforms
• Familiarity with cloud and hybrid network security architectures
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements
• Experience producing security architecture documentation and diagrams
