Job Title : Manufacturing Controller/Plant Controller/Manufacturing Operations ControllerLocation : Windsor, ON, CANADA (Onsite)Full Time Job Summary The Controller (Multi-site Ops) is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of multi-site manufacturing operations. This includes financial reporting, cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with corporate policies and external regulations. The role provides data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and works closely with plant leadership to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in a timely and accurate manner.Analyze plant performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide actionable insights to leadership.2. Cost Management Oversee standard costing processes, inventory valuation, and cost variance analysis.Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while ensuring accurate product and material costing.3. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide recommendations for improvement.4. Internal Controls & Compliance Ensure adherence to corporate financial policies and procedures.Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.Coordinate with external auditors and oversee compliance audits.5. Business Partnering & Leadership Work closely with plant leadership to drive financial performance and support strategic initiatives.Provide financial guidance on capital investments, cost optimization, and business case development.Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Qualifications B.S. in Accounting or Finance (CPA ideal, but not required)At least 5 years of experience as a Plant Controller or Assistant Controller in a manufacturing settingExperienced in management through rapid growthStandard Costing setup and maintenanceAbility to handle and prioritize multiple projectsPrevious ERP system experience; EPICOR experience a plusCommunication & Working Relationships Internal: Finance Team, Senior Management, Plant Managers.External: External Auditors. Working Conditions50% of work will take place on the production floor in a manufacturing/industrial setting.Exposure to automotive vehicles, machinery, chemicals, robotics, and various weather conditions.Personal protective equipment (PPE) required while on the production floor.
