Description

Drake International is supporting a growing, founder-led safety services organization in the search for an Operations Leader to strengthen and scale its field workforce operations.

This role is anchored in workforce execution — ensuring safety personnel are deployed effectively, supported consistently, and operating within regulated, high-accountability environments. The organization also delivers training and consulting services, and experience supporting professional services or training operations will be viewed as a strong asset.

This is a newly created hands-on role suited to someone comfortable working alongside field operations and safety professionals, while also contributing to operational structure, performance clarity, and long-term scalability.

Compensation & Structure

  • Base Salary:

Director-level experience: $95,000 – $110,000

Senior Director-level experience: $110,000 – $120,000

Executive-level experience: $120,000 – $130,000

  • Additional: Performance bonus, car allowance, benefits
  • Work Model: Hybrid GTA, with regular field presence across Eastern Ontario

Key Focus Areas

  • Lead and support workforce operations, including scheduling, deployment, coordination, and field execution
  • Partner with safety leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and effective service delivery
  • Establish, improve, and maintain operational processes, standards, and accountability rhythms
  • Lead and support operational and field-based team members
  • Maintain regular field presence to stay close to operational realities
  • Contribute to broader operational improvement as the organization continues to grow

Experience supporting training, consulting, or professional services environments — including scheduling, utilization, or service delivery — is considered a major asset.

Experience & Background

We are open to candidates with a range of seniority, provided they bring credible operational leadership experience in safety or field-based service environments.

Relevant experience may include:

  • Leading workforce or field operations in safety, industrial services, construction, utilities, or similar regulated environments
  • Direct accountability for deployment, scheduling, utilization, and day-to-day operational execution
  • Experience working closely with field operations and safety professionals, maintaining credibility and presence in operational settings
  • Proven people leadership, including leading supervisors, managers, or cross-functional operational teams greater than 5 direct reports.
  • Exposure to regulated, compliance-driven industries, with a strong appreciation for safety, risk, and accountability
  • Experience establishing or improving operational processes, standards, and performance expectations
  • Comfort operating in growth-stage or founder-led organizations, where structure is still being built and scope may evolve
