Our client, a well-established law firm in British Columbia, is seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support its Corporate/Commercial practice. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and enjoys working closely with lawyers, clients, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open and close client files and prepare pre-bills
  • Manage lawyers’ calendars, meeting schedules, and Bring Forward systems
  • Draft agreements, supporting documents, and correspondence based on written instructions or verbal direction
  • Conduct, review, and organize due diligence searches
  • Complete and manage filings through BC Online, LTSA, and the BC Personal Property Registry
  • Organize and maintain corporate precedents and records
  • Respond to day-to-day inquiries and administrative requests
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion

Qualifications & Experience

  • Paralegal or Legal Assistant with a Corporate/Commercial background
  • Proficiency with BC Online, LTSA, and BC Personal Property Registry filings
  • Strong understanding of corporate structures, trusts, and partnerships
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply legal documentation and legislation
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and research skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Team-focused, flexible, and client-service oriented
