Job Description:<br/><br/>Our established client in the industrial space is looking for a Payroll Analyst to join their team. The Payroll Analyst is responsible for assisting in multiple payroll activities relating to weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing in a union and non-unionized environment. This includes timely and accurate reporting of payroll data for the company employees. Integrity and strong attention to detail are crucial for this role.<br/><br/>Responsibilities of the Payroll Analyst is as follows, but not limited to:<br/><br/>Full payroll cycle processing – Process new hires, rehires, changes & terminations in UKG and JDE<br/><br/>Review hours exported and balance timesheet hours<br/><br/>Balance and process weekly expenses submitted through payroll<br/><br/>Process payroll deductions such as union dues, garnishments and other recoverable<br/><br/>Receive incoming payroll documents weekly for payroll processing from district administrators and review for errors. Communicate with districts to determine and correct errors, if any.<br/><br/>Generate payroll reports and update relevant spreadsheets with view of compliance implications<br/><br/>Perform system steps to generate payroll GL downloads<br/><br/>Issue Records of Employment and update systems accordingly<br/><br/>Ensure payroll month end requisitions and remittance requests are processed as per due dates<br/><br/>Calculate manual payroll payments for out of process items, including preparing and entering wire transfers and ensuring appropriate deductions occur<br/><br/>Communicate with 3rd party vendors such as Service Canada, Unions, Workers Compensation, and other government agencies with scope of role<br/><br/>Process annual union increases and applicable retroactive payments in collaboration with team<br/><br/>Monthly Union Remittances – create reports and process any adjustments as necessary<br/><br/>Monthly WSIB compensation reports – create and process<br/><br/>Assist with year-end duties and reconciliations<br/><br/>Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:<br/><br/>Certification through the National Payroll Institute or completion of payroll related courses<br/><br/>Minimum of 3+ years of progressively responsible payroll administration experience<br/><br/>Knowledge and work experience with UKG Pro is preferred<br/><br/>Knowledge of current legislative requirements and CRA regulations<br/><br/>Intermediate to advanced skill with Microsoft Office. Excel is CRITICAL, TEAMS, Word and Outlook<br/><br/>Quick learner with attention to detail and accuracy<br/><br/>Ability to deal with tight deadlines<br/><br/>Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision<br/><br/>Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills<br/><br/>Strong customer service and collaboration focus
