Description
We are hiring a People & Culture Generalist on behalf of our client, a construction company based in Vancouver. If you are looking for a company that has great growth potential and awesome team culture, this may be the role for you!
Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end recruitment efforts—from crafting job postings to candidate selection and onboarding.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure a seamless and supportive onboarding journey for new employees.
- Partner with leadership and the P&C Director to interpret labour laws, refine company policies, implement HR best practices, and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Support performance management processes, including annual reviews, coaching and feedback, goal setting, progressive discipline, and, when necessary, terminations.
- Prepare employment related documents including employment contracts, progressive discipline letters, termination documentation and investigation notes.
- Maintain and enhance the HRIS (BambooHR) through ongoing data management, system customization, and performance monitoring to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with the Office Administrator to plan and host events that strengthen employee engagement and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Actively participate in and promote company events, fostering a welcoming and positive atmosphere across all worksites and offices.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is an asset.
- 2–3+ years of experience in an HR or People & Culture role is preferred.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Developing skills in peer coaching, facilitation, and conflict resolution.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Eagerness to expand knowledge of Canadian and provincial employment laws and regulations.
What We Can Offer You:
- Salary range: $75,000 – $100,000 (flexible based on experience)
