Description
Brunel’s client is seeking an experienced Non‑Process Infrastructure (NPI) Planner & Scheduler to support their Alberta operations. Reporting to the Lead, NPI, this role is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance and small project work related to non‑process infrastructure, including site roads, utilities, buildings, camp facilities, airstrip, and other supporting assets.
The successful candidate will bring strong safety leadership, a collaborative and analytical mindset, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while supporting a multi‑disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
Plan and schedule all trades and service providers for non‑process infrastructure activities across their site in Alberta.
Develop and maintain a CMMS‑based preventive maintenance program.
Manage ongoing corrective maintenance and small project work scopes.
Prepare complete work packages, including job plans, materials, parts, tooling, required trades, documentation, and cost estimates.
Create and distribute service requests, work orders, PMs, and purchase requisitions.
Infrastructure Oversight
Support planning and scheduling for:
Site road networks and well pad access
Non‑process buildings and facilities
Aerodrome operations
Waste, pest control, potable water, and wastewater treatment
Fire protection systems, ensuring alignment with fire codes and regulatory requirements
Operational Workflow
Receive and prioritize work notifications based on priority, safety, and operational needs.
Ensure adherence to the work order life cycle.
Support KPIs including planning backlog, ready backlog, capacity utilization, and maintenance cost performance.
Provide planning and scheduling assistance for Turnaround and Outage events.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and other stakeholders.
Safety & Compliance
Demonstrate strong safety leadership and reinforce safe work practices.
Ensure compliance with all site processes, procedures, and standard work practices.
Qualifications
Journeyman Trade Certification with a minimum of 5+ years’ industrial experience.
3+ years of planning and scheduling experience.
Strong proficiency with CMMS systems.
Strong organizational, analytical, and time‑management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving abilities.
Proficiency with MS Office (Visio, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Nice-to-Have (Assets)
Experience with SAP and MOC processes.
Experience with fire protection systems, water/wastewater treatment, and facilities maintenance workflows.
